Extra credit due Tuesday

Below are the details for your extra credit assignment, due to your lab instructor at the start of lab Tuesday. You will receive five extra credit points toward your final grade.

In Lab 3, you will be writing a news story on deadline based on information you receive from your lab instructor. That story will be your graded assignment for Lab 3.

To help you prepare for that deadline writing assignment, write a brief  news story based on the following information. The story should be appropriate to be published in The Gainesville Sun. Note that you have two sources for this story. Even though the notes below are not written in complete sentences, your story should contain complete sentences.

As part of this extra credit activity, write six different summary leads. Write a summary lead beginning with each of the following: the who of the story, the what, the when, the where, the why, and the how. Select one of those to be the lead for your news story and be ready to explain why you made your selection.
